How to Clean Cowhide Leather Bag

Cowhide leather is usually used to make various items such as furniture, shoes and wallets. The leather is easy to maintain and keep clean. All you need is a soft brush, water, dishcloth and a few pieces of cloth to clean your cow leather.

Brush away dust and dust.

Use soft brush such as a toothbrush or soft brush. Before cleaning, gently brush cattle leather to remove dirt and dust.

Pour a cup of warm water into two separate bowls.

One bowl will be used for cleaning and the other will be used for flushing.

Add half a teaspoon of soap to one of the bowls. Mix the ingredients together with a spoon until a soap solution is formed. Avoid scrubbing the leather with soap all at once before rinsing the entire piece. Instead, work on small sections at a time.

Wipe gently with a cloth. Avoid rinsing the leather with soap once before flushing the entire part. Instead, work for a small part of the time. Use a clean cloth for each new part you are going to clean. Because dirty cloth can stain leather, use the clean side of the cloth each time you work on a new part. In addition, once you have used up the clean part on the first cloth, use a new cloth.

Dry the leather in a well-ventilated place.

Alternatively, place it under a covered area such as a porch to dry, avoid drying the leather in direct sunlight.

Use leather care product.

Once the leather is nearly dry, dip a clean cloth into the leather care product /polish Apply a layer of the leather care polish to the entire surface of the leather. You can purchase leather care product online, or purchase leather care product from your local shoe repair shop or discount retailer.
